Birkirkara FC announced that Jose Borg was no longer coach of the men’s and women’s teams following the end of his contract with the club.

Jose Borg had been leading the women’s team since summer 2022 and last February, he also took over as coach of the men’s team.

The women’s team completed the treble by winning the Assikura Women’s Championship, Assikura Women’s Knock-Out and the Assikura Women’s Super Cup.

However the men’s team missed out on a place in the UEFA Conference League after placing fifth in the BOV Premier League and elimination from the IZIBET FA Trophy semi-finals.
